Benue APC Defends Meeting with Ortom, Backs Tinubu 2027

The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has justified its attendance at a meeting with former Governor Samuel Ortom, who is associated with the People's Democratic Party (PDP). This clarification comes amid public criticism directed at APC members for engaging with Ortom, who is a supporter of President Tinubu's second-term aspirations.

The APC, through a statement signed by its state public secretary, Daniel Ihomun, asserted that it remains open to coalitions with patriotic political groups to support Tinubu's re-election agenda. The party believes that national development requires broad-based support that transcends party lines.
