Coseyl Backs Ned Nwoko for Senate Return in 2027

The Coalition of South-East Youth Leaders (Coseyl) has officially endorsed Ned Munir Nwoko for a return to the Senate in the upcoming 2027 general elections. In a statement signed by the group's president, Goodluck Ibem, on Saturday, they emphasized the necessity of Nwoko's re-election due to his strong legislative performance.

Within his first two years in the Senate, Nwoko sponsored 31 bills and moved 20 motions, demonstrating a commitment to his legislative duties. Coseyl highlighted Nwoko's sponsorship of the Anioma State creation bill as a significant step toward addressing the long-standing political structural imbalance affecting the Anioma people.

The group advocates for visionary leadership and accountability in Nigeria, urging traditional rulers, youth groups, and community leaders in the Anioma area to collaborate to ensure Nwoko's return to the National Assembly in 2027. They believe that his continued presence in the Senate will strengthen efforts to advance the interests of the Anioma people.
