Datti Baba-Ahmed Critiques Peter Obi's Political Moves

Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party's 2023 vice presidential candidate, criticized former party principal Peter Obi for his decision to exit the Labour Party amid ongoing crises. In an interview with Symphony TV, Baba-Ahmed highlighted the challenges Obi faces and emphasized the need for him to prepare for the 2027 presidential election.

He advised Obi to establish alliances with significant northern politicians, including Rabiu Kwankwaso and Nasir El-Rufai, to strengthen his position ahead of the elections scheduled for January 31, 2024. Baba-Ahmed expressed concerns about the lack of unity in northern Nigeria regarding support for Obi and urged him to address the challenges posed by opposition parties.

He noted that Obi's readiness to engage in the political landscape depends on a clear long-term strategy, especially following the failures observed in the previous elections.
