Datti Baba-Ahmed Supports Peter Obi for 2027 Elections

Datti Baba-Ahmed, who served as the Labour Party's vice-presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has made a commitment to support Peter Obi in his pursuit of the Labour Party's presidential ticket for the 2027 general elections. This pledge comes in light of the possibility that Obi may not secure the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Baba-Ahmed made this statement during an interview with Trust TV, where he emphasized the importance of Obi's leadership and potential candidacy. Additionally, Momodu, a chieftain of the ADC and a media entrepreneur, called for the ADC to adopt a clear strategic approach to unite experienced politicians and enhance their chances against the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He highlighted that electoral success requires more than just public enthusiasm and political rhetoric, particularly in the face of formidable opponents like Bola Tinubu.
