Crisis Looms in ADC Over Potential Presidential Ticket Candidates, Baba-Ahmed Warns

In 2027, Baba-Ahmed, a 2023 vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party, expressed worries about a potential crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) if prominent figures like Atiku, Amaechi, or Peter Obi secure the presidential ticket. He emphasized the party's lack of unified political heavyweight support, which could hinder its nationwide appeal and electoral success.

Baba-Ahmed stressed the importance of strong leadership, political experience, and unity to drive electoral victories. He warned that internal disagreements, depending on the emergence of the presidential candidate, could lead to division rather than unity within the coalition.

Despite his concerns, Baba-Ahmed praised President Bola Tinubu's political acumen and drew parallels with former President Goodluck Jonathan's re-election strategy in 2011. He highlighted the need to address structural challenges within the ADC coalition comprehensively.
