Atiku Abubakar Calls for Tinubu's Ouster in 2027 Elections

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), called on Nigerians to vote President Bola Tinubu out of office in 2027, citing the rising economic hardship in the country. He made this statement in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, while welcoming Eyitayo Jegede, a former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and his supporters into the ADC.

Atiku criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the economic challenges facing Nigeria and asserted that the ADC is dedicated to restoring fuel subsidies and addressing insecurity. He stated, “This is the moment for us to vote them out,” and highlighted the need for a government that would ensure security across the nation.

ADC national chairman David Mark, represented by national secretary Rauf Aregbesola, encouraged grassroots mobilization for the elections, promising to address the rising cost of living if elected. Jegede, who defected from the PDP, cited unemployment and economic hardship as reasons for his move.
