ADC Chieftain Calls for Northerners to Vote Out Tinubu

Barr. Ken Imasuagbon, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), called on northerners to leverage their numerical strength to vote out President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

He urged support for Atiku Abubakar, the ADC's presidential candidate, who was ratified on May 29, 2026, after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party. Imasuagbon described Atiku as a seasoned political figure capable of healing Nigeria's ethnic and regional divisions.

He argued that Atiku is well-positioned to tackle persistent poverty and hunger, asserting that Nigeria's structural problems require a transformative leader. Imasuagbon highlighted Atiku's economic agenda, which includes reopening Nigeria's land borders to facilitate trade and reduce food prices.

He also mentioned a commitment to reversing the fuel subsidy removal implemented by the Tinubu administration, framing it as a necessary response to the financial pressures faced by Nigerians.
