Udoedehe, Akpabio Win ADC Primaries in Akwa Ibom

In the recent African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship primary held in Akwa Ibom State, James John Udoedehe emerged victorious, securing 66,099 votes and defeating his closest rival, Barr. Mfon Peter, who received only 103 votes.

The results were announced by John Ejoh, the chairman of the primary election committee, who commended party members for their orderly conduct during the primaries. Udoedehe, a former Minister of State for Federal Capital Territory, expressed gratitude to party members in his acceptance speech, emphasizing his commitment to providing an alternative government to the people of Akwa Ibom State.

He highlighted the need to address issues such as unemployment and poverty. Additionally, Princess Pat Akpabio, sister-in-law of Senator Godswill Akpabio, won the ADC ticket for the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District with 21,326 votes.

She urged the people of Akwa Ibom to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise.
