APC Primaries: Governors and Candidates Contest Tickets

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is holding senatorial primaries today, with notable figures such as Godswill Akpabio, Barau Jibrin, and several governors, including Hope Uzodimma of Imo, Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara, and Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, vying for tickets. Former governors like Yahaya Bello of Kogi Central and Gbenga Daniel of Ogun East are also in the race.

Daniel has withdrawn from the primaries, citing security threats and concerns about violence from agents of the state government. He has advised his supporters to stay away from the primaries for their safety.

The APC is conducting these primaries amid tensions and accusations between political camps, particularly in Ogun State, where accusations of violence have intensified. The party's primary elections are set to take place across the country, with an appeal committee available for complaints.
