Iduoriyekemwen Leads ADC Candidates for Edo Elections

Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, the former majority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, has emerged as the ADC candidate for the Edo South senatorial district in the 2027 general elections, following a consensus poll where he received 23,174 votes. The announcement was made by Ebiowei Olomu, the chairman of the electoral committee.

Other candidates include Herbarta Okonufua for Edo Central with 4,898 votes, and Musa Jerri Braimo for Edo North with 14,992 votes. Additionally, several candidates were selected for House of Representatives positions, including Ekundayo Ukponwan for Egor/Ikpoba Okha with 5,595 votes, and Louis Ejedeavw for Esan Central/Esan West/Igueben with 3,531 votes.

Iduoriyekemwen expressed satisfaction with the ADC's platform, emphasizing that no politician understands the Edo South senatorial district better than he does. He also urged party members to remain united in achieving their objectives for the upcoming elections.
