Wike's PDP Prepares for 2027 Convention Amid Legal Battles

The Nyesom Wike-led faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is gearing up for a national convention on March 29-30, 2027, after an appeal court ruled in their favor regarding their legitimacy. Tanimu Turaki's faction, however, is not backing down and has threatened to escalate the matter to the Supreme Court for further interpretation of the ruling.

The Wike faction's leadership, represented by Hon. Abdulrahman Moham, expressed gratitude for the support received and emphasized the need for unity within the party as they prepare for the upcoming elections.

They aim to ensure a smooth convention process despite ongoing legal battles. The faction also plans to inspect the proposed venue for the convention, the national stadium, to ensure it meets the necessary standards.

Samuel Anyanwu, representing the faction, highlighted the importance of party unity and urged members to focus on progress rather than individual victories.
