Otti: 2027 Elections Won't Distract Abia Governance

On Tuesday, Abia State Governor Alex Otti addressed concerns regarding the potential distraction of his administration by the upcoming 2027 elections. He emphasized that his focus remains on delivering good governance and completing ongoing projects.

Otti made these remarks during a reception for members of the Old Students Association of the Federal School of Arts and Science in Aba, where he expressed confidence in being re-elected. He assured that his administration would not be sidetracked by the political climate, stating that the people of Abia are aware of good governance.

Otti also commended the alumni for their decision to renovate the hostel of their alma mater, calling it a laudable action. Additionally, he disclosed that his administration supports the Geometric Power Project to ensure stable electricity supply, which aims to generate 188 megawatts of excess power for eight local government areas.

Otti noted that the state has established the Abia State Electricity Regulatory Agency to manage local power supply independently from the national grid.
