PDP Aspirant Adamu Usman Challenges Bala Mohammed's Successor Plans

Adamu Usman, a gubernatorial aspirant from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, declared on Wednesday night in Abuja that Governor Bala Mohammed cannot successfully impose a successor in the state. Speaking to journalists at a reception honoring PDP youth leader Ibrahim Bala Aboki and the party's national chairman Abdulrahman Moham, Usman expressed confidence in his ability to win the 2027 governorship election.

He noted that the political landscape for the upcoming elections is significantly different from previous contests, with multiple political parties expected to field candidates. Usman described the PDP as a stable political party in Nigeria, contrasting it with rival parties facing internal crises.

He called for increased youth participation in politics, emphasizing the need for job creation to address unemployment and social challenges affecting young people. Usman outlined his priorities for governance, focusing on creating opportunities for youth to engage in the political process.
