2027: You have no credible agenda – Imo Govt knocks governorship aspirant

The Imo State Government criticized governorship aspirant Chima Amadi for lacking a credible agenda in a statement issued by Commissioner of Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Declan Emelumba. Emelumba accused Amadi of inciting the public with fabricated statistics and baseless claims to mislead and provoke unrest.

Amadi had claimed at a seminar that Imo State had the highest maternal mortality rate in Nigeria, which Emelumba dismissed as fiction, citing official figures. Emelumba highlighted Governor Hope Uzodimma's efforts to improve maternal care and healthcare outcomes in the state.

Emelumba also refuted Amadi's claims about the state of health facilities and education in Imo, pointing out various achievements under Uzodimma's administration. Emelumba challenged Amadi to publish a credible action plan for Imo State to match the current government's achievements.
