Guber Aspirants Must Follow Democratic Process – Uzodimma

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma emphasized that aspirants contesting the APC governorship ticket in 2023 must adhere to the democratic process. He cautioned against confusion surrounding the Charter Equity slogan and stressed the importance of unity and collective interest for progress and development.

During a meeting with leaders from Owerri zone, Uzodimma highlighted the need to restore moral order and eliminate governance imbalances in the state. He urged Owerri zone stakeholders to work together towards a common goal and ensure a purely democratic process in selecting the governorship candidate.

Uzodimma also encouraged unity, cooperation, and a focus on improving security, healthcare, and the economy. The governor advised against early campaigning and emphasized the importance of serving the people selflessly.

Chief Charles Amadi, leading a delegation, expressed solidarity with Uzodimma's leadership and commended the establishment of the Imo Charter Equity to address imbalance and foster peace in the state.
