Primate Ayodele Warns Tinubu of Overconfidence Ahead of 2027

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) about the dangers of overconfidence as the 2027 presidential election approaches. In a statement by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele asserted that the ruling party's reliance on financial resources could undermine their chances of victory.

He predicted that many Nigerians would reject Tinubu if the government fails to address ongoing hardships and insecurity. Ayodele warned that the APC's perceived confidence could become a significant weakness, stating, “Overconfidence will kill APC.” He emphasized that the economic struggles and security issues faced by citizens would heavily influence their voting decisions.

Ayodele urged the ruling party to take immediate action to alleviate economic hardships before the election, warning that neglecting these issues could lead to widespread rejection of the APC.
