Nigeria Floods: 241 Dead, 144,790 Displaced Across 123 LGAs

The recent flooding in Nigeria has resulted in 241 deaths and 144,790 displacements across 27 states and 123 local government areas. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reported 839 injuries and 115 missing persons.

Adamawa State recorded the highest number of victims, with over 60,000 affected individuals. The South South region was most impacted, with 122,000 people affected.

Challenges in response operations include resource shortages, security risks, and coordination gaps. Immediate needs for the affected population include food, shelter, water, sanitation, health services, and livelihood support.
