Gombe Youngsters Shine, Earn Golden Eaglets Camp Invitations

Three talented young footballers from Gombe, Meshek Lamelah, Abdulrahman Baba, and Abdullahi Bello, have been invited to the Golden Eaglets camp after catching the attention of the national cadet side's coach during a test game. The trio, representing different local teams, showcased their skills and impressed the Golden Eaglets gaffer.

The players were selected from a pool of 65 clubs in the Gombe State League One and embarked on a tour to Abuja for further assessment. The trip was sponsored by Hon Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, with support from the Gombe State Football Association.

The youngsters' participation is pending mandatory MRI tests, with high hopes for their potential to represent Nigeria on the international stage.
