Gombe ALGON Supports Grassroots Football with Equipment Donation

The Gombe Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has donated footballs to amateur clubs to support grassroots football development in the state. Barrister Haruna, representing ALGON, emphasized the importance of encouraging and nurturing local talent through sports.

The Gombe State Deputy Governor, Manasseh Jatau, commended the State Football Association for engaging youth in football activities. The FA Chairman, Yakubu Sarma, expressed satisfaction with the successful conclusion of the 2025 Gombe State Division One League, where Herwagana Stars FC emerged as champions.

This initiative aims to promote community engagement, invest in local talent, and foster a culture of excellence in sports.
