NAqF Celebrates Completion of Aquatics Coaching Course

The Nigeria Aquatics Federation (NAqF) announced the successful completion of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)/Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) Olympic Solidarity Level 1 and 2 Aquatics Technical Coaching Course in Lagos. The week-long program, held from September 15 to September 20 at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Complex, Rowe Park, Yaba, involved 35 coaches from various regions of Nigeria.

NAqF President Hon. Lekan Fatodu emphasized the program's significance as an investment in the future of Nigerian aquatics, linking the quality of athletes to the quality of coaching. He commended the IOC, NOC, and all stakeholders for their support, and praised the participating coaches for their enthusiasm and commitment to learning.

Fatodu expressed gratitude to NOC President Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel and the leadership of the National Sports Commission, including Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko and Director General Hon. Bukola Olopade, for their backing of initiatives aimed at enhancing technical capacity in Nigerian sports. The course facilitator, Mr. Cedric Finch from South Africa, also acknowledged the coaches' participation.
