3rd National Para Games Set for Abuja in March 2026

The 3rd National Para Games, Nigeria's largest prestigious para-sport event, is scheduled to be held in Abuja from March 26 to April 3, 2026. The event will host over 3,000 athletes representing 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, competing across 15 different sports.

The National Sports Commission is organizing the games, which aim to celebrate resilience, excellence, and inclusivity in sports. The event promises to surpass previous editions in scale and participation, highlighting the depth of talent across the country and providing pathways for athletes to progress to continental and global competitions.

The National Youth Service Corps will partner with the National Sports Commission to ensure the successful hosting of the event. The orientation camp in Kubwa, Abuja, will serve as the official games village, housing athletes and officials throughout the duration of the games, ensuring a secure and collaborative environment that underscores Nigeria's commitment to empowering young Nigerians through sports.
