48-Hour Ultimatum: Gani Adams Intervenes In Alaafin-Ooni Feud

Yoruba leader Gani Adams has intervened in the feud between Alaafin and Ooni, giving a 48-hour ultimatum for resolution. The row began when Alaafin demanded Ooni reverse the title of Okanlomo Yorubaland given to businessman Dotun Sanusi.

Ooni's spokesperson Moses Olafare stated the monarch would ignore Alaafin's ultimatum and leave the matter to the court. Gani Adams, as Aare Ona Kakanfo Yorubaland, expressed concern over the rift and emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution.

He highlighted the importance of unity in Yoruba land and urged relevant leaders to intervene. Adams stressed the urgency of resolving the crisis and preventing further division among the Yoruba people.

He expressed optimism that the impasse between the two monarchs would be resolved soon.
