Royal Faceoff As Alaafin Gives Ooni 48 Hours To Revoke Okalomo Title Conferred on Sanusi

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, has given the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, 48 hours to revoke the Okalomo Yorubaland chieftaincy title recently conferred on Ibadan businessman, Engineer Dotun Sanusi. In a statement, the Alaafin described the Ooni's action as a direct challenge to his authority, stating that the traditional stool empowered him to confer titles covering the entire Yorubaland.

The Alaafin warned that failure to revoke the title within the given timeframe would attract consequences. The Ooni was reminded that his authority is limited to certain areas and must respect the hierarchy and traditions of the Yoruba kingdom.

The Alaafin emphasized the importance of unity and respect for tradition in preserving the peace and development of Yorubaland.
