FIFA President Gianni Infantino addressed concerns regarding ticket prices, stating that the lowest entry price is $60, which is competitive compared to other American sports. However, the U.S. government has introduced a controversial $15,000 visa bond for travelers from 50 nations, affecting support delegations from five qualifying African countries: Algeria, Cape Verde, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, and Tunisia.

Although the bond may be waived temporarily for ticket holders enrolled in the FIFA Pass by April 15, 2026, many African fans face challenges due to consular backlogs. Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan has been denied entry to officiate despite holding a valid diplomatic passport.
