Fire Destroys 50 Shops at Kano Market Early Friday

On Friday morning, a significant fire broke out at the Fatima Simra Multi-Purpose Market located in the Dakata area of Kano State, destroying no fewer than 50 shops. The fire reportedly started around 5:40 AM, as confirmed by Dauda Haruna Chula, the chairman of the market's fire fighting committee.

The affected shops primarily belonged to small-scale business owners who dealt in cooking oil, recycled plastic, and nylon bags. At the time of the incident, there were no fire service personnel present, and the committee had contacted relevant authorities to address the situation.
