Oluremi Tinubu Supports 500 Women in Calabar Outreach

Five hundred market women and small business owners in Calabar, Cross River State, received N50,000 each from First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu to support their businesses. This financial assistance was distributed during a market outreach organized by Dr Betta Edu, which attracted over 5,000 women from various markets.
Edu stated that the intervention aimed to help small-scale traders replenish their stocks and improve their ability to support their families. In addition to cash grants, the women received gift items such as deep freezers, blenders, toasters, and luxury dresses.
The event also included a dance competition where some participants won financial grants. Furthermore, the outreach served as a political mobilization exercise for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu, with participants celebrating and praying for the President.
Edu, who is Co-Director of the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, encouraged the women to support the party in the upcoming election.
