CAF President Motsepe Announces Major Changes to African Football at AFCON 2025

CAF President Patrice Motsepe unveiled key changes to African football during the AFCON 2025 tournament. These changes include transitioning the Africa Cup of Nations to a quadrennial event starting from 2027, introducing the African Nations League in 2029, discontinuing the African Nations Championship (CHAN), and increasing the prize money for the Africa Cup of Nations and CAF club competitions.
