6-Year-Old Nigerian Girl Falls to Death in Toronto

On Thursday evening, a tragic incident occurred in North York, Toronto, where a 6-year-old Nigerian girl fell from the 28th floor of an apartment building located on Chalkfarm Drive. Police received a distress call around 8:15 PM and found the child unconscious outside the building.

Reports indicate that the girl's mother is from Nigeria, and the family was staying with friends who lived on the top floor of the apartment complex. Neighbors described the girl as friendly and expressed shock and sadness over her death.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fall, noting that the apartment windows are fitted with safety mechanisms designed to prevent full opening. The building management company, Greenwin, expressed deep sadness over the incident and stated they are fully cooperating with the police investigation.

As of now, the case does not appear suspicious, and an autopsy is ongoing.
