Yusuph Olaniyonu Reflects on 2006 Labor Incident

As Yusuph Olaniyonu approaches his 60th birthday, he reflects on an incident from August 2006, shortly after his 40th birthday, while he was preparing for his Bar exams at the Nigerian Law School in Victoria Island, Lagos. On the night before the Civil Law Procedure paper, he was studying late in a reading room when a fellow student approached him, requesting help to transport a woman in labor to the hospital.

Despite his initial confusion, Olaniyonu agreed and drove his Hyundai Sonata to the Military Hospital in Ikoyi, without knowing the identities of the woman or her companions. This experience has lingered in his mind, prompting him to question whether he acted properly during that emergency situation.
