Seven Dead in Keffi-Abuja Highway Crash; FRSC Investigates

A tragic accident on the Keffi-Abuja highway resulted in the deaths of seven individuals. Shehu Mohammed, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has ordered a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

In a statement issued by the FRSC's public education officer, Olusegun Ogungbemid, on Friday, Mohammed expressed deep sorrow over the incident, acknowledging the emotional toll that such road crashes often inflict. He advised against premature conclusions regarding the crash and warned personnel that violations of established operational standards would be sanctioned in accordance with FRSC regulations.

The FRSC boss commended the prompt intervention of the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Army in restoring calm and preventing further breakdown of law and order. He reaffirmed the commitment of the FRSC to professional restraint and community engagement, urging the public to allow due process to take its course.
