Abuja Multi-Vehicle Crash Involves 39 People, Injuries Reported

On Monday at 4:48 PM, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on the Ayiaya Nyanya route near Kugbo Furniture Market in Abuja, involving six vehicles, including two commercial tippers and private cars. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), represented by Public Education Officer Felicia Kalu, confirmed that 39 individuals were involved in the incident.

Following a distress call, a rescue team arrived within four minutes, initiating life-saving operations. The team successfully extricated trapped victims from heavily damaged vehicles and administered first aid before evacuating them to a national hospital for further medical attention.

Two male victims sustained injuries, including bruises and fractures. Kalu noted that FRSC personnel worked tirelessly to stabilize the situation, prevent further casualties, and ensure the safety of road users.

The operation was coordinated by the unit command led by Officer Marshal Malam Shehu Moham, who emphasized the FRSC's commitment to protecting lives.
