Jigawa Pensioners Advocate for 32,000 Naira Minimum Pension Implementation

The Nigerian Union of Pensioners in Jigawa State is urging the state government to consider implementing a minimum pension of 32,000 naira, a move recently approved by the federal government. The Chairman of the association, Mallam Umar Sani Babura, made the appeal during a radio program.

The pensioners have already submitted their request for the payment of the new pension scheme to the state government. They are confident that Governor Umar Namadi will approve the payment of the 32,000 naira minimum pension soon.

The state government has begun screening pensioners across the state for immediate implementation of the minimum pension. The chairman emphasized the importance of providing effective service delivery to pensioners.
