NDLEA Arrests 77,792 Suspects and Seizes 14,847kg of Drugs in Five Years

The NDLEA Chairman, Buba Marwa, disclosed that the agency arrested 77,792 drug offenders and seized 14,847kg of illicit drugs over five years, disrupting local and transnational drug trafficking networks. The agency also arrested 128 identified drug barons playing central roles in major trafficking operations.

Marwa emphasized the agency's success in prosecuting and securing convictions against 14,225 offenders, reinforcing deterrence against drug-related crimes. Additionally, NDLEA intensified efforts in drug demand reduction and conducted awareness campaigns nationwide.
