Lagos Hosts Pre-Retirement Workshop for Auditors

The Lagos State Audit Service Commission organized a pre-retirement workshop aimed at preparing exiting auditors for their transition from public service. The workshop took place at the Commission's conference facility in Alausa, Ikeja, and focused on financial planning, pension processes, and post-retirement opportunities.

Oluwakemi Garbadeen Adedeji, the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, emphasized the significance of approaching retirement with the right attitude and preparation. She praised the retiring auditors for their dedication and contributions to reinforcing transparency and fiscal accountability within the state's civil service.

The workshop featured advice from Olaegb Abdul Akeem, who urged participants to prioritize financial discipline and health management as they plan for retirement. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining accurate records for pension procedures to avoid setbacks during the retirement process.

The event aimed to equip retiring auditors with the necessary tools to successfully navigate their post-service life.
