Eyewitness accounts confirmed that three occupants were burnt beyond recognition, while 15 others sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to Ifo General Hospital for treatment.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Babaseyi Oluseyi, also confirmed the incident, stating that preliminary investigations suggested speed and overload as probable causes of the crash. The Federal Road Safety Corps spokesperson, Afolabi Odunsi, noted that the bus comprised six adult males, 11 adult females, one male child, and two female children.

The vehicle was recovered for safety inspection, and investigations are ongoing.
