Nigeria's Tinubu Reaffirms Commitment to Global Peace at UN

During the ongoing 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, declared Nigeria's commitment to the peaceful settlement of disputes in accordance with the United Nations Charter. He expressed pride in Nigeria's role in sustaining peace in Africa and pledged continued support for peace initiatives across the continent.

President Tinubu emphasized the necessity of tackling terrorism decisively, stating that Nigeria will persist in its efforts to combat non-state actors that threaten the country. He called for global collaboration to eradicate the spread of terrorism and advocated for a reformed, inclusive, and effective United Nations, which he deemed essential for a peaceful and sustainable future for future generations.
