Nigeria's Defence Minister Reaffirms Peacekeeping Commitment

General Christopher Gwabin Musa, Nigeria's Minister of Defence, reiterated the nation's commitment to enhancing its role in international peace and security efforts under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's leadership. This statement was made during the ongoing 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at the UN Headquarters in New York.

Musa emphasized the administration's dedication to revitalizing Nigeria's participation in global peacekeeping operations to promote stability and security worldwide. Following the UNGA's opening, he visited the Defence Section at the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations, where he received a detailed briefing from Defence Attaché Brigadier General E.A.

Koleosho regarding the section's strategic activities and operational commitments. Musa commended Brigadier General Koleosho and his team for their professionalism and loyalty in upholding the ideals of the United Nations and the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Musa is part of a high-powered delegation led by Vice-President Kashim Shettima attending the UNGA.
