ACR Fund Nigeria to Distribute Inputs to 88,000 Farmers

ACR Fund Nigeria is set to distribute 9,000 tons of critical agricultural inputs to 88,000 farmers across Nasarawa, Niger, Kwara, and Plateau states, with the distribution expected to be completed by May 31, 2026. This initiative aims to address barriers to credit access and improve food security in Nigeria.

Kazi Nanyah, a representative of ACR Fund Nigeria, stated that the program is designed to significantly enhance crop yields, particularly maize, with participating farmers often achieving nearly double the average yield. The program also aims to increase household incomes by approximately $328 per season.

The initiative prioritizes inclusivity, with 35% of participants being women and youth. Keziah Danjuma, a 24-year-old maize farmer from Pyatta village in Niger State, shared her success story, noting that the quality seeds and fertilizers provided have nearly doubled her maize yield.

The program has served 600,000 farmers since its launch in 2018, focusing on quality inputs, training, and market linkages.
