NADF Distributes 11,720 Fertilizer Bags to FCT Farmers

The National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) distributed 11,720 bags of fertilizer to 2,930 smallholder farmers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during an event held at the pavilion center in Garki, Abuja. Dr. Mahmoud, the Minister of Agriculture, described this initiative as a timely intervention reflecting the government's unwavering determination to strengthen the agricultural sector and improve farmers' livelihoods.

She noted that agriculture remains a critical pillar for national development and stressed the importance of investing in farmers to enhance the nation's economic stability and food security. Dr. Mahmoud expressed appreciation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's visionary leadership and commitment to transforming Nigeria's agricultural sector through the Renewed Hope Agenda.

She urged farmers to embrace modern farming practices to maximize productivity and reduce dependence on food imports. Engr. Moham Ibrahim, the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of NADF, flagged off the distribution, highlighting its aim to reduce production costs and improve access to quality fertilizers.
