Tinubu, APC Governors Provide ₦8bn Relief for Market Fire

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State commended President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors for their timely intervention following the devastating fire at the Singer Market. In a statement released on Tuesday, Yusuf highlighted the ₦8 billion relief fund aimed at assisting affected traders.

This fund comprises ₦5 billion from the federal government and ₦3 billion contributed by APC governors across the country. Yusuf emphasized that this financial support serves as a crucial bridge for traders whose livelihoods were destroyed in the blaze.

He noted that President Tinubu's actions reflect a commitment to the welfare of Nigerians during challenging times. Furthermore, Yusuf assured that every kobo of the funds would be transparently utilized to rebuild the market and provide direct support to the victims.

He also mentioned ongoing collaboration with relevant federal agencies and market associations to ensure fair and proper distribution of the relief funds.
