Nasarawa Arrests 96 for Environmental Violations, Plans to Revitalize Waste Recycling Plants

In Nasarawa, 96 individuals were apprehended for breaching environmental sanitation laws during the monthly exercise in Lafia. The Chief Prosecutor, Abubakar Abdullahi, disclosed that those arrested were engaged in private business activities during the sanitation period.

The Nasarawa State Waste Management and Sanitation Authority revealed plans to restore two waste recycling plants in Lafia and Karu to enhance waste processing efficiency. The government aims to promote public health by distributing waste bins across 13 LGAs to prevent disease outbreaks and ensure a cleaner environment.
