Baba Ijesha Shares Prophecy of Greatness After Calamity

Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha shared a prophecy he received before his imprisonment, stating that he would become a great man but would first face a significant calamity that would cause him to cry. He recounted this experience during a visit to Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Igboho.

Baba Ijesha explained that the prophecy, which he received prior to his incarceration, predicted that he would achieve greatness after enduring a painful experience. He linked this prophecy to his imprisonment, which occurred after he was convicted by the Lagos State High Court on July 14, 2022, for sexual assault and indecent treatment of a child involving the foster daughter of comedian Damilola Adekoya, known as Princess.

Baba Ijesha was sentenced to five years for sexual assault and three years for indecent treatment, with the sentences running concurrently. He was released from prison in November 2025.
