Activist Farotimi has dismissed the idea that bringing back former President Goodluck Jonathan would solve Nigeria's challenges, stating that "A Thousand Goodluck Jonathans Can Not Fix Nigeria." In response to reports suggesting Jonathan could run in the 2027 general election, Farotimi emphasized that Nigeria's problems go beyond any individual leader. He highlighted that despite Jonathan's removal from office with promises of a better Nigeria, the country's issues persist a decade later.

Farotimi warned that simply replacing the current President without systemic reform would only continue the cycle of failure. He called for structural reforms rather than focusing on political personalities, cautioning against the tendency to seek quick fixes.
