Gbajabiamila Leads Delegation to Ogbomoso After Abduction

On May 15, 2026, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President and Speaker of the House of Representatives, led a five-man high-powered Federal Government delegation to Ogbomoso, Oyo State, in response to the abduction of a pupil and a teacher from the Community Grammar School and Baptist Nursery Primary School. The delegation included Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, Tunji Disu, the Inspector General of Police, and other officials.

During the visit, Gbajabiamila conveyed President Bola Tinubu's deep concern regarding the incident and emphasized the commitment to ensuring the victims' safe return. The President approved the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in Oyo State and directed the establishment of a military base in the area to enhance security.

The delegation met with community leaders and the family of the deceased school teacher, Mari Oyedokun, promising that the family would receive necessary support.
