Abia First Lady Calls for Diaspora Investment and Unity

Priscilla Otti, the First Lady of Abia State, called on Abia indigenes in the diaspora to partner with the state for transformative growth during a town hall meeting held on Saturday in Lagos. She emphasized that the future of Abia will depend on collective efforts from both residents at home and those abroad.

Otti highlighted the ongoing improvements in infrastructure, security, education, healthcare, and women's empowerment in the state, noting that Abia women are among the state's greatest assets. She stressed that development cannot be driven by the government alone and called for stronger collaboration with the diaspora to identify investment opportunities.

Otti also urged women to play a leading role in the state's development, asserting that when women succeed, families and communities thrive. Additionally, she encouraged increased civic participation ahead of future elections, urging eligible voters to register and obtain their permanent voter cards to participate in the democratic process.
