NANS Engages FUOYE VC Over SUG President's Suspension

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) engaged with Prof. Abayomi Fasina, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), concerning the suspension of the Student Union Government (SUG) President, Jame Adio.

Akinte Babatunde, NANS President, disclosed that extensive discussions were held following the union's condemnation of the suspension, which they described as unjust. The Vice Chancellor expressed strong resentment towards the suspension and acknowledged the need for an amicable resolution.

He promised to address the situation in the next Senate meeting scheduled for Wednesday. Additionally, he ordered an investigation into the allegations surrounding the suspension, which involved unauthorized collection of funds from students.

Babatunde commended the Vice Chancellor's response and reiterated NANS's commitment to protecting students from intimidation.
