Otti’s Aide Iheanyi Chinasa Defects to APC in Abia

Iheanyi Chinasa, who served as a liaison officer for Abia State Governor Otti, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The announcement was made by Levinu Nwabughiogu, a media aide to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Chinasa's defection was highlighted during a gathering of APC stakeholders in Owerri, Imo State, which included Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma and other party leaders. This strategic move is part of ongoing efforts to build a stronger support base for the APC across the Southeast region.

Chinasa's previous role involved close collaboration with the Labour Party-led government in Abia State, and he had previously contested against Benjamin Kalu for the Federal Constituency seat during the 2023 general elections. Kalu welcomed Chinasa to the party, expressing optimism that other notable figures would follow suit in the coming months, encouraging APC members to pursue political positions and remain focused on future electoral preparations.
