APC Conducts Successful Ward Congress in Abia State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) held its ward congress across Umuahia North Local Government Area in Abia State on Wednesday, with the event monitored by the party's local government congress committee and overseen by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Goar assured that the congress adhered to a harmonized and credible process, reflecting the will of party stakeholders.

Stanlei Ohajuruka praised the impressive turnout, indicating strong party growth, while Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu addressed members, emphasizing the need for unity and grassroots leadership. Kalu reiterated that the party must adhere to decisions made at the national level to ensure a smooth process and successful outcomes in the upcoming 2027 elections.

The congress is part of the APC's internal democratic process, with further local government congresses scheduled for February 26, 2026.
