APC Holds Peaceful Congress Across 193 Wards in Kwara

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State conducted congresses across 193 wards on Wednesday, with reports indicating a peaceful process. Princ Sundai Fagbemi, the APC chairman, noted that the exercise was largely successful and marked a significant step in solidifying the party's structure.

Alhaji Abdullahi Samari, the deputy chairman, emphasized the importance of screening candidates to ensure worthy representatives for the party. The congresses were reported to be free of rancor, with participation from various stakeholders, including elders, women, and youth.

Hon Suleiman Tejidini reported that the exercise in Ilorin West local government was smooth and appreciated Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for creating a conducive environment. The congresses are seen as a crucial move for the APC as they prepare for the 2027 general elections, with results already being received from various wards.
