Abiodun Urges Ogun Rulers to Support Investor Relations

On Thursday, during a statutory meeting of the Ogun State Council of Obas held at the Obas' complex in Abeokuta, Governor Dapo Abiodun warned traditional rulers against exhibiting hostility towards investors, which he stated could undermine the state's economic growth. He expressed concern over reports of uncooperative attitudes in communities, particularly in Yewa South, Ipokia, and Ijebu North.

Abiodun condemned such hostility, describing it as detrimental to attracting billions of dollars in investments critical for job creation and infrastructure development. He urged traditional rulers to ensure peace and cooperation within their domains, emphasizing that a hostile atmosphere would deter potential investors.

The governor also called for heightened vigilance among residents regarding security issues and warned traditional rulers against indiscriminate land allocations that could lead to disputes. He reiterated the need for transparency in land management to attract genuine investors and cautioned landlords against renting properties to individuals involved in criminal activities.
